Casual classes are a great way to learn to dance, get fit, have fun and meet people!

These classes run for 55 minutes, and are "Pay As You Go". Just turn up on the night and time when the class of your choice is running (see timetable below), and away you go! No partner required. Why not come along and give it a try? What have you got to lose?!

What type of dancing do we do?

At IDANCE we teach the following styles:

• Street Latin (Salsa, Argentine Tango, Street Cha Cha, Merengue, Swing)
• Latin American (Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Jive, Paso doble)
• Ballroom (Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Tango, Vienesse Waltz)
• New Vogue (such as Merrilyn, Evening Three Step, Swing Waltz, Tangoette, etc.).

But I have two left feet!

All beginners are in the same situation initially. Everyone must start at the beginning.

Our beginner's classes are designed for complete beginners, and we will have you dancing and enjoying yourself in no time.

What should I wear?

Neat casual dress is all that is required. Shoes should be securely attached to the feet, no thongs or loose sandles, and shouldn't provide too much grip. For example, sneakers with rubber soles often have too much grip to allow for spins and so on. As you progress, a proper pair of dancing shoes are a good investment.

How much does it cost?

Casual classes are $15 per 55 minute class. If you choose to stay on for a second class on the same night, it will cost you just a further $5. We also offer Class Cards, which cover 10 classes for $125. Dance Packages are also available which provide both private lessons and group classes at discounted rates (see Private Lessons).
